Would you ever pay for downloaded music?
Actually, I already do. I have been a member of Yahoo! Music (music.yahoo.com) for a few years and have to say it’s the best $12/month I have ever spent. I’m legally downloading/transferring songs to my portable player. It’s a great value and concept.
EDIT: Jun 8, 2009 – Since Yahoo! Music was bought by Rhapsody, for [...]
What do you think the future of music is?
Internet radio is going to take over and FM radio is going to have to find ways to compete. Soon enough there are going to be wireless networks in cars so Internet radio can be received and listened to with perfect clarity.
What is your opinion of musicians selling products either with their face or their music?
I think it’s fine, since they want to show everybody who they are. There’s nothing wrong with that marketing procedure, in my opinion.
What are the positives and negatives of Internet radio?

How does Live365 work?
Classic Rock Rocks! is broadcast in Basic mode, which means that I upload MP3s to their server and they are then transmitted to any Web surfer who wants to listen. Even though the bitrate of all files are CD-quality, they can be broadcast through the Internet.
The other available method, Live/Relay, is if someone actually wants [...]
What is your opinion of your local radio stations?
Actually, one of my local radio stations is quite good. There is one station, 95.9 The Fox (www.thefoxonline.com), which only plays Classic Rock and more music than talk in the morning. However, I got fed up with some of the songs they played that I either didn’t consider Classic Rock or didn’t interest me, so [...]
Why did you start a station on Live365?
Back in early 2001, creating a station on Live365 was free, so I just wanted people to hear the bands and songs that I have been listening to for years. I first created a station that played Punk, Indie Rock, and Alternative, but soon decided to create a Classic Rock station with my favorites from [...]
