How does Live365 work?

Classic Rock Rocks! is broadcast in Basic mode, which means that I upload MP3s to their server and they are then transmitted to any Web surfer who wants to listen. Even though the bitrate of all files are CD-quality, they can be broadcast through the Internet.
The other available method, Live/Relay, is if someone actually wants to be a DJ for his or her radio station. The files are hosted off the user’s computer, so no advertising is included in the transmission.
